Invitations to the Nerd-a-Thon

Let me level with you right now: Library Clubs are the bee's knees.  Moreover, having posted these alongside one another, I can't help but visualize a crossover flier with a scarf wrapped around the Wii and little mismatched booties on the controllers.  Or with little old ladies with mittens accidentally throwing Wii handhelds through a CRT tv.  Knitt Days?  Days of Knitts. 

And yes, these are somewhat half-dated.  I have not posted for a while because mostly I've been busy with many swell projects and side-things and dead ends that don't make any kind of sense together, so I will have to be patient and post them separately lest anyone's retinas should wither in outrage. 

Crayola Cult Consumes Friends, Energy, Time

So this crayon thing has gotten way way out of control.  It's pretty much my favorite medium now, and my new mission is to fill every sketch with waxy colored goodness.  I was going to load every single drawing I make, in order, but that's become a bit too time consuming.  Maybe I'll eventually get them all on my flickr site.  Or maybe they will just smear themselves into mud as they wait, wasting away on the shelf like so many preschool dreams.  I am sorry little dudes, I only have like six hands and they are all somewhere else.

Whenever I'm on the verge of complaining about excessively black pants and coats and shirts and hats and hearts, I look up and the women are wearing all these psychedelic grampa shirts and the men are sporting highlighter shirts.  Spring, I tell you, they are unfurling their tail feathers.

Stop Work, Shop Comic Books

Little in library ad for the teen comic book workshop I started yesterday. It continues through the summer, nearly each Tuesday from 2 to 4. We'll be working on characters, stories, dialogue, and layout while making various mini-comics-slash-li'l-zines galore. Yeah, an' I might make a few here and there, too, with all the unfussy fun flyin' 'round. Dang, them kids is inspirational conflagarations, fawoosh woosh! Micron, sharpie, and marker on paper.

And Figure, Two

A bit of figure study snuck in at the library. The first is a musical storytime, the second is the Delaware First State Orchestra. It's a wild, wild, institution.





Why pay for models when people do it for free? Clothes are a bonus.
