Woodlawn Broke Backs

Yes. We won. We WON. Woodlawn tooked the first official New Castle County Library Olympics by storm, by roots, by merit, by any means necessary (disregarding disintegration, as you wish). The entire team adorned with custom polos and cheap, china-born medals, Andre touting the fool's golden chalice, the very world frothing with rabid oaths of fealty and submission. Good stuff.

Congrats everyone. especially us. We're the best around.

Gotta request that Karate Kid soundtrack. Killer stuff. Stupid bike. Get him a body bag, Johnny!

Listened to a fabulous SALT Lecture given by Brian Fagan. Particularly provocative in his identification of the elephant in the room of climate change: drought. Apparently most wars of the next century will be dictated by a general dearth of fresh water.

Desalination, anyone?

Spinal Clap

Behold, Colin's spine-tingling (and potentially damaging) neck position. Sustained for hours upon hours. Such dedication in arduous posture wrecking yields newsworthy results, most notably the boon of everlasting vigilance over the relative height of one's fly.

Tomorrow's the big day: the cream and the scum of the entire new castle county library system are convening in north wilmingtar for one big-assed day of library olympics. I'll be speedwalking he final lap of the library to win the trophy wife for our lovely Woodlawn mothership, so be sure to clap your irons extra loud.

All day.
